- The bio-film is growing on the top of the sand. This film will take out pathogens that the sand will not. We are leaving water at the top of the sand at all times to promote growth of the film.
-Right after this, we continued to keep it wet at all times.
- We had to reseal the outflow tube because it was leaking. We used epoxy instead of silicon and it worked a lot better to seal it. We also added more epoxy to the connection of the two 2-liter bottles because it was leaking. These worked and it is no longer leaking.
- The turbidity readings for this week showed improvement. The river water was 3.9 NTU while the filtered water was .48 NTU. This is acceptable drinking water.
- We worked on and completed our final report draft. We still need to add results to this report but it is a good start. We also made our preliminary presentation and realized it still needs work
-We need to work on what we are going to say and be more organized.
